Job Requirements
Purpose:
The role of Regional Training and Talent Development Lead, Asia Pacific (APAC) is part of the T.E.D. Team within the HR department supporting Training, Education, and Development initiatives to develop the employees who are develop our business. TED team deliverables are aligned with the business strategy, with the role contributing to global programs while focusing on regional engagement and organizational impact.
Our methodologies emphasize a learning culture with engaging and interactive learning and development events. Our objective is to provide all the necessary resources for the employee experience beginning with onboarding through talent management, staff engagement, high potential programs, and succession planning. This role requires work as an individual contributor and as part of a larger global HR team
Accountabilities:
- Facilitate development and delivery of global talent and training deliverables including live and online training. Be action oriented to train and facilitate the various programs across the region and train stakeholders using Train-the-Trainer (TTT) format when required.
- Communicate corporate programs and training events. Advocate for training and development initiatives. Engage participants and management in the learning journey to maximize effectiveness and meet success criteria. Partner with regional HR leadership on local strategy to execute global deliverables. Report success metrics to TED and HR leaders in Regional and globally.
- Coordinate and educate regional HR staff to implement global talent and development strategy at the local level. Build relationships with regional leaders and HR partners to provide training with high context for the audience. Schedule and promote programs and collaborating with related stakeholders on the required resources.
- Review training programs and content ensure accuracy and business relevance. Suggest updates and improvements and work closely with business to identify the training needs. Conduct evaluations on learning effectiveness and performance impact.
- Deliver regular reporting on training hours for professional development. Support audits related to training milestones set by business unit or corporate standards. Understand regional stakeholder needs for certification and compliance to ensure requirements are met to maintain satisfactory levels of regulatory requirements.
- Understand and adhere all corporate and business unit policies aligned with TED team, HR business unit, and PSA International.
Prerequisites:
- Training Development and Delivery. Experience delivering presentations in-person or online/virtual for training or education purposes. Understands how to develop presentation materials, coordinate session, deliver presentation using facilitation skills, and follow up for learner evaluation.
- Training Advocate. Builds relationships with regional business leaders and HR to advocate current and future training and talent management trends. Identifies needs aligned to business challenges and analyses impact of training on performance improvement.
- Business Partnership. Foundational knowledge of logistics and supply chain business and industry terms. Can tie observed issues to performance improvement and strategic goals for training and talent management. Can build, manage, and influence business and HR relationships. Takes ownership and delivers results.
- Global Mindset: Work in global teams; function in a team leader role for projects and communication. Proactive in communication and tracking status for projects.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools. Can develop presentations using MS Powerpoint, Manage scheduling and communications with MS Teams and Outlook, report and analyze data with MS Excel.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification from training or talent management association.
- Completed skills development in relevant Training, Organization Development, or Talent Management courses.
- Experience using course development software tools including Articulate (or other SCORM compatible tools) or Video content editing.
