Primary Responsibilities Responsible for accomplishing department objectives by supervising staff as well as organizing and monitoring work processes. Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, and maintaining Quality processes and procedures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results. Conducts training and maintains department training records via training matrix. Duties: (Included, but not limited to) [Under the direction of the Quality Manager] Conducts training and maintains department training records via training matrix. Pass on information from upper management to Quality Technicians and vice versa. Receiving activities in ERP system Move transactions in ERP system Enter information into Quality Database Receiving inspection activities: Issue Nonconforming Material Process Inspect Product using Gages, Testers, and test fixtures Complete ISIR or 1st piece inspection process Responsible for quality containment areas organized and accurate NCM, PPAP, RTV, RMA, etc. Calibration procedure: Control of monitoring and measuring devices Perform internal Calibration activities: Golden Eggs, custom gages, etc. Receive and process some RMA’s (with supervisor review): Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process.doc Update control plans in Quality Database Generate ECN Requests: Engineering Change Notification (Change Control) Update and control documents: Document Control Issue CAR’s: Corrective Action-Preventative Action Process Contact Suppliers on NCMR’s and CAR’s Measure GD&T and calculate tolerances Issue Supplier PPAP requirements Review Supplier PPAP’s Review supplier CAR’s Assist with Customer RMA’s and MRB reviews Conduct and lead Internal ISO audits Conduct and lead Supplier Audits Other Responsibilities: Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met Training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Some heavy lifting required up to 70 lbs. Qualifications: Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints. Ability to recognize GD&T callouts on prints and have basic knowledge of GD&T. (all very similar, located in different spots, one or some other combination?) Ability to read and write English. Ability to use the following gages: (included but not limited to) Optical Comparator, Spring Force Tester, Gage Balls, Concentricity Gages, Thread Micrometer, Bore Gages, Caliper, Micrometer, Thread Gages, Indicators, Gage Pins, Height-stand/Drop Indicator, etc. Proficient use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS outlook, MS Access, and Ability to create formula’s in MS Excel. Ability to collect data for capability studies and Gage R&R Studies. Understand FMEA’s, Control Plans, and Process maps. Strong understanding of capability and Gage R&R indexes and formulas (Sigma, Cpk, Ppk, etc.). Can enter and generate capability and gage R&R charts in MiniTab. Run CMM Program created by CMM Operator – Trombetta Trained Requires minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in a Quality environment. Not required, but strongly recommended: Previous lead experience in a Manufacturing Environment. Proficient in MiniTab and MiniTab statistical analysis (Charting, Cpk, Ppk, STDEV, etc.) Six Sigma Green Belt not required, but strongly recommended Six Sigma Black Belt not required, but strongly recommended Create CMM Programs (identified as a CMM Operator/Quality Technician) Strong understanding of GD&T, how to measure it, and how to calculate tolerances True Position, MMC, LMC, etc. ****Job descriptions may include Qualifications and Responsibilities that need Trombetta specific training.
