Now Hiring: Exceptional Children’s (EC) Facilitator – School Educator IV

Location: Wright School, Durham, NC

Wright School is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional to join our close-knit team as an Exceptional Children’s (EC) Facilitator. This is a 12-month, full-time position with the flexibility to take earned vacation at your discretion and a maximum caseload of just 24 students.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and complete all EC and 504 paperwork for Wright School students within ECATS.
  • Maintain student data Infinite Campus to support EC processes and smooth school transitions.
  • Partner with colleagues, parents, and related service providers to ensure compliance with federal and state special education requirements.
  • Contribute to a treatment model that blends education and mental health approaches in a small, highly supportive therapeutic setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form.   • Knowledge of federal and state EC regulations (IDEA, ECATS, IEP development).
  • Ability to support students with significant emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Ability to use a collaborative approach to working with families and professionals.
  • Ability to manage complex timelines and multiple systems.

Management Preferences:

  • Experience in school social work, EC case management, or working in a re-education environment or other therapeutic environment.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Teaching Area with/or eligible to receive a license level of one of the following:

Bachelor's, Master's, Advanced, Doctorate. Must be Highly qualified for EC, Elementary or Core Area.

Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
