ADP is hiring a Senior Developer – Roll Team

In this role, you will work within a scrum team to bring the designs and ideas to life for new or improved web applications. This work will support a mix of internal and external clients, and you will be working on projects currently in production.

You will start your day on a scrum call to prioritize and track work. Within the team you work on, you will choose user stories to work within a sprint cycle. You will spend most of your day developing and testing your code. Every three weeks, you will be involved in the release activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• We'll start each day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, ID any issues, and communicate coding priorities.
• Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and good coding standards. Your primary responsibility is to deliver features on time.
• We don't code in a silo. You'll talk to everyone from the project manager to Quality Assurance and current customers to understand requirements and create a collaborative output.
• We're always learning new codes and investigating open source communities. Knowing what questions to ask is more important than knowing the right answers.
• You have 5-8 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• Minimum 5 years working experience with Node.js, Typescript, REST, and JSON.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, i.e. GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience developing Web applications and strong understanding of object oriented design.
• Know how to apply AI tools, and use LLMs where appropriate.
• Advanced or Fluent English skills (medium to high capacity to interact with other teams)
• You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
