- Grain Operations Manager
- The Grain Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that grain containing new, or restricted technologies is sold in preferred markets/regions of the United States. This role requires proactive collaboration with seed developers, seed producers, grain handlers, and processors to maintain the integrity of the grain supply chain and protect access to international markets.
- This position must be based in the Midwest and can be remote or located in our West Lafayette, IN office.
- This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

- You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in the agricultural grain value chain, business development and complex industry relationship management
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and execute grain management or grain transactions.
- Required Bachelor of Science and/or Bachelor of Arts.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, mostly domestic, with occasional international travel.
- Direct experience developing plans for C-suite executives to take action and support the business
- Demonstrated ability to connect downstream partners to technology value and to organize stewardship and identity preserved processes and agreements
- Demonstrated ability to persuade value chain partners to embrace new technology and business development opportunities
- Experience developing industry consensus and working in a matrixed organization.
- Strong skills in influencing across functions and teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A drive to develop unique, high-impact solutions.

- Monitor the development and commercialization of new seed technologies and traits building a plan to prepare and support technology launches
- Monitor the regulatory status of traits across key export markets and adjust market approaches for grain
- Help collaborators and industry stakeholders to understand and mitigate complexities associated with the presence of various technologies in the US market.
- Work closely with key account management and their breeding collaborators to understand their trait pipelines, regulatory concerns, and stewardship strategies.
- Partner with seed producers to ensure, if required, proper trait containment, identity preservation, and communication of trait status to downstream stakeholders.
- Assure seed companies are trained and execute on required stewardship programs.
- Coordinate with grain handlers and processors to implement best practices to meet corporate requirements.
- Build strong relationships across the value chain to promote transparency and proactive issue resolution.
- Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations related to stewardship.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, grain movement, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for internal leadership and collaborators as needed.
- Deliver training and educational materials to seed producers, grain handlers, and internal teams on stewardship and channeling practices
- Communicate updates on regulatory changes, trait approvals, and market access risks to relevant stakeholders.
