The Practice Clinical Coordinator supervises clinical and clerical office staff. Coordinates patient flow, assists with patient triage and performs routine nursing duties as required. Oversees clinical responsibilities of the nursing staff, including: competency monitoring, quality improvement, training and education. Performs quality assurance audits as directed. Monitor ordering of supplies and equipment maintenance in a financially, responsible manner.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time). Requires continual use of fingers for patient care, writing and handling patient charts. Routine use of upper extremities; occasional requirement to lift items up to 25 pounds. Occasional requirement to push supply cart weighing up to 30 pounds, and wheelchair with patient weighing up to 325 pounds. Regularly requires ability to stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level. Requires ability to hear normal conversation, and good general, near and peripheral vision.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; holds a current R.N. licensure in P.A, NJ licensure is suggested.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
One year recent experience in a physician practice; supervisory experience; knowledge of managed care, federal and state regulations and guidelines. Current CPR required.
