The SJHP RN Clinical Coordinator provides clinical day to day operational direction and leadership necessary for Providers and Caregivers to attain our mission, vision and values. This requires well-honed skills in coaching, motivating and leading a professional clinical team so that our patients receive personalized, high-quality care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed in New Mexico
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • One (1) year of experience as a Charge Nurse and/or related Management or Leadership experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and accountable
  • Team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Prior experience in related clinical or medical office setting
  • Certified Ambulatory Care Nurse
  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or related certification

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Medical Director (if applicable), Director and Manager the RN Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring strong working relationships with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Caregivers, other leaders and departments to meet or exceed day to day clinical operational focused performance expectations in the following key areas:

Financial and Strategic Management:

  • Understands health care economics and health care public policy.

  • Identifies opportunities and provides direction for program development.

Human Resource Management and Leadership:

  • Knowledgeable in various recruitment and interviewing techniques.

  • Coaches and mentors clinical team members to promote and develop skills and behaviors necessary to execute department strategy.
  • Monitors clinical team schedule to ensure adequate staffing and schedules accordingly.
  • Development of clinical education, competencies and orientation within the department.

  • Actively participates in department and organizational quality initiatives.
  • Assures the safety of patients and staff is maintained.

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequently or for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to balance fast paced competing priorities, work under stress and tolerate frequent interruptions.
  • Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids and meets OSHA training requirements.

Special Demands:

  • Set limits when dealing with angry, hostile, or sometimes verbally or physically abusive patients and families in an attempt to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the delivery of care.
  • Effectively copes and strives for balance when supporting team members when caring for acutely or chronically ill patients and families.
