WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

TECH 4:

  • Performing complex repairs with the aid of hand and basic machine tools and without supervision.
  • Skillfully interpreting mold and manifold prints
  • Making complex components from print
  • Polishing up to class A1 diamond surface
  • Providing leadership and/or mentoring lower-level technicians
  • Prioritizing and performing multiple tasks

TECH 5:

  • Fulfills all duties of technician 4 position above
  • Proficiently programming and operating tool room equipment
  • Completing complex repairs, design changes or new builds.
  • Evaluating, planning and completing all aspects of the job with no assistance. This plan may involve the outsourcing of some tasks, but the plan must be directed by the technician in a timely manner
  • Leading projects from start to finish with ability to direct and mature supporting staff
  • Designing and fabricating jigs, fixtures and gauges

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

TECH 4:

  • 8 years of mold making experience
  • Proactive attitude towards achieving company goals regardless of shift or situation

TECH 5:

  • 10 years of mold making experience
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensional mathematics
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to walk or stand for 2 hours at a time for up to 10 hours
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • General Office Environment one (1) hour per day
  • Manufacturing Environment seven (7) hours per day
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
  • Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

HAZARDS:

While performing the job thie position is frequently exposed to moving or mechanical parts and Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.

Position Requirements

Skills / Experience / Education required

  • High School education or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Familiar with and the use of basic hand tools
  • Must communicate proficiently in English (verbally and written)
  • 1 year technician 1 experience or its equivalent
