Position Summary: The Program Manager - Software and Connectivity is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all activities for customer-facing software and connectivity-focused projects. They will lead and motivate globally distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Responsibilities: The following outlines the core duties of the role. Other responsibilities may be added as required.

Manage Projects:

  • Initiate, plan, execute, and monitor all activities for software-focused projects
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Efficiently manage multi-platform software and connectivity projects utilizing Agile methodology.

Resolve Constraints:

  • Develop mitigation plans for all at risk items and work with project team members while still maintaining project requirements.
  • Maintains a detailed action list with responsibility and due dates clearly defined.
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of the projects.

Managerial Capabilities/Style:

  • Works well in a cross-functionally collaborative environment.
  • Solid decision-making skills and ability to work in a nimble environment.
  • Prior experience managing international teams.
  • Creates an environment that fosters open communication and individuals respectfully challenging each other.

Experience:

  • Technical background with hands-on experience in customer-facing software and app development (web/tablet/mobile/desktop).
  • Minimum 3 years of Project/Program Management experience. Able to leverage both classic waterfall and agile project management techniques as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated success working in a product development team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Relevant Industry Certification preferred (such as CSM, PMI-ACP, CSPO, PMP).

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as being able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Any additional physical requirements
