This team is the expert in the landscape of privacy risks and passionate about consulting across the company on implementing the proper safeguards and technical mitigations to ensure that our users’ privacy is honored across the TikTok's products and platforms. On the path of constructing and consolidating a reliable and resilient tool, framework, architecture and relative workflow, you will face challenges of ensuring high quality and stability with global multi-datacenter deployment, high-concurrency micro service, and you will face global cooperation. Responsibilities As a tech lead software engineer , your responsibilities are: - Work closely with PMs to design user friendly & efficient platform functionalities for data governance. - Be responsible for the system design and functionality development of the privacy engineering frameworks and platforms. - Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust and extensible big data systems that support core products and business - Work on anonymization/psudomization/encryption technologies to preserve user privacy in all ML data processing activities. - Work closely with operations & business teams to address technical challenges when applying solutions throughout our product suite. - Investigate the cutting-edge industry progress of privacy engineering and get feedback from business lines, continuously improve efficiency & stability of the solutions. -Mentor software engineers on the team
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or above with 5 years of software engineering experience. Proficient in one mainstream programming language: C++/Java/Golang/etc, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems. 2. In-depth understanding of computer principles, familiar with general server architecture, skilled use of various data structures and algorithms; solid understanding of object-oriented programming 3. Good business scenarios & requirements understanding, able to design reasonable technical solutions. Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit. 4. Familiar with classic mainstream databases: Mysql/redis/mongodb/Hbase/Hive and messaging systems such as kafka/rocketmq. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience of privacy awareness process design for SDLC, AI model training. 2. Experience of data processing control solutions like purpose limitation, access control etc. 3. Experience of data protection solutions like data classification, data de-identification etc. 4. Rich experience in Internet product architecture design. 5. Experience with data governance framework to register, manage, and control data lifecycle to meet privacy compliance requirements.
