About the Team

The Global Payments team provides professional and scalable payment solutions that ensure the smooth operation of payment channels across ByteDance's global businesses. We support the company’s rapid international growth through strategic payment infrastructure and partner development.

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager based in our São Paulo office. The ideal candidate will take a lead role in building and strengthening partnerships across Brazil and the broader LATAM region. You will be deeply involved in shaping our credit-related payment ecosystem, with a focus on collaboration with financial institutions and fintech partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, initiate, and deepen strategic partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, fintech providers, credit reference agencies, and payment institutions in Latin America.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements related to credit services (e.g., BNPL, personal credit), and evaluate external providers to identify the most aligned solutions.
  • Analyze industry developments and regulatory trends within LATAM and global credit markets to provide actionable recommendations for credit product expansion.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to bridge business needs and service gaps, drive cooperation plans, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Standardize business development processes, including partner evaluation, contract negotiation, and implementation frameworks, to support scalable credit partnerships.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, finance, economics, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or sales within the credit or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the digital payments landscape and consumer credit trends in Brazil and the broader LATAM region.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across internal cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing partnerships with financial institutions or fintechs.
  • Experience working with BNPL or personal credit products.
  • Prior background in credit teams within tech platforms, financial institutions, or payment service providers.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in both English.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, particularly for coordinating with Spanish-speaking LATAM markets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Open to occasional business travel as required by project needs.
