CDL Driver

Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a CDL Driver in Terre Haute, IN . The starting pay range is $25- $30. The CDL Driver position is a full-time, long-term opportunity (not temporary) .

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL delivery Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Starting pay will be based on skills and experience

Duties

• Operate trucks for the purpose of transporting goods to designated locations.
• Perform route driving, ensuring timely delivery while following planned routes.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel use, and delivery confirmations.
• Manage flatbed loads securely and ensure proper tie-down procedures are followed.
• Drive both manual transmission and automatic vehicles as required by the job.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is required.
• Familiarity with truck driving regulations and safety standards in commercial driving.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks is a plus.
• Ability to handle loading and unloading tasks efficiently.
• Strong navigation skills with knowledge of local routes.
• A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
