OVERVIEW:
The Manager of Credit FP&A supports the Dick’s Sporting Goods credit program, driving growth through a variety of initiatives which require significant cross-functional collaboration across internal Marketing and Store Operations and external bank partners. The position will be involved in design, execution, and measurement of initiatives, with the goal of driving profitable growth.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance, a deep understanding of the retail credit card business, and experience with successful loyalty programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Budget and Forecast
- Develop the annual budget for our private label credit card accounts
- Manage the monthly forecast for our private label credit card accounts, including proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
- Support various Finance initiatives, including ongoing cost optimization.
- Be an expert at clearly communicating with VP+ leadership.
Reporting and Business Insights
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives with the credit program
- Analyze performance to identify trends and opportunities for program growth and profitability
- Create and deliver monthly credit scorecards and credit statistics reports to key stakeholders including senior leadership, highlighting areas of concern or opportunity.
- Support and lead monthly, quarterly and annual meetings with the program team and occasionally senior leadership.
Credit Initiative Support
- Serve as a key financial partner to the marketing team in assisting athlete credit programs to increase credit sales and engagement
- Develop pro forma analysis for credit marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with the marketing team to measure the effectiveness of campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business field
- 5 - 7 years of total experience with 3 – 5 years of experience in areas such as Credit, Treasury, Loyalty or Financial Planning
