The role of a Galvanizer involves procuring and positioning various below-the-hook holding devices, pallets, boxes, pins, wires, chains, and blocking for loading and unloading. You will perform general labor work, pile and store materials, products, components, pallets, skids, and holding devices in and around the galvanizing plant according to safety regulations. Additionally, you will ensure tools and equipment are checked for safety, maintain general housekeeping of the work area, hang parts, stack and unstack items, and be familiar with quality control processes. You will clean and prepare surfaces using water and/or hazardous chemicals, operate overhead cranes, maintain equipment, determine material preparedness for coating, and work under supervision.

The work environment is a heavy industrial, steel fabrication facility where candidates are required to wear steel toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The open-air building is not climate-controlled, resulting in hot conditions during summer and colder conditions in winter.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
