Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Center for State Health Policy.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Assists with the tracking and management of activities related to study research operations.
  • Provides general office support, including collecting, scanning, uploading, and filing study documentation and forms; data entry; and making copies.
  • Distributes and reconciles participant and staff gift cards.
  • Organizes and prepares study mailings.
  • Coordinates and schedules social media posts.
  • Supports the research team with other tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Coordinates HR/Procurement operations with staff at the Center for State Health Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Salary 59893.480

Mid Range Salary 73909.480

Maximum Salary 87925.480

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of project management, program coordination, or other relevant experience.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • One year of experience in community health activities, including volunteer engagement or outreach.
  • Knowledge and understanding of program coordination.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a social science or public health field plus two years of related experience.
  • Experience in research study activities.
  • Experience with Rutgers office functions.
  • Comfortable working in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

Equipment Utilized

  • Computer equipment.
  • Software programs including Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as Rutgers-specific programs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to carry boxes with promotional material.
  • Evening and weekend work is required.
