Position Summary: The Automotive Lighting Lab Technician is responsible for performing testing, analysis, and validation of automotive lighting components and systems. This role supports engineering and product development teams by ensuring that lighting products meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Position Duties: - Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the testing operation.

  • Responsible for adherence to quality standards
  • Performs repeatability and reproducibility tests on equipment
  • Assists in maintenance of equipment.
  • Assists engineers with test failure root cause analysis through testing
  • Maintains up-to-date and current records on database on all tests performed
  • Aid in determining root cause of product failures.
  • Notifies Engineering and/or Quality assurance / Reliability of any failures to specifications. (NOF’s)
  • Assists in proficiency testing
  • Participates in on the job or departmental training
  • Reviews environmental compliance and completes required reports.
  • Tests all samples to insure legal requirements are documented.

Requirements: An associate’s degree in applicable technology field is preferred but work experience will also be considered. Will need experience in industry standards and governmental regulatory and compliance standards.
