Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

$Pay Rate: $23/hr W2

Duration: 6+ months

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Support Contractor to assist in daily operations of our Microbial Repository. Under the guidance of scientists and technicians, you will play a key role in supporting sample management, lab maintenance, and other laboratory tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in biotechnology, microbiology, or a related science field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic lab setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and non-routine lab tasks under supervision
• Order lab supplies and maintain inventory
• Clean and organize lab spaces
• Conduct manual liquid transfers and operate automated liquid handlers
• Retrieve and store microbial samples from freezers and shakers
• Pick and prepare samples for customer delivery
• Support additional laboratory teams as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field OR minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
• Proficiency with aseptic techniques
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in microbiology or biotechnology labs
• Familiarity with laboratory automation equipment
