Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Description

This role is based at a facility in Roanoke, Indiana, responsible for managing all maintenance activities that are not on the production line within a 5,000,000 square foot General Motors facility. The Operations Supervisor will be tasked with setting and executing budgets, driving continuous improvement and process improvement projects, implementing corporate programs, and managing project execution. This position also includes reporting on operational efficiencies to the Director of Operations. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader, adept at giving and receiving feedback, and focused on the development of their team members.

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute budgets for maintenance operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement and process improvement projects.
  • Implement corporate programs effectively.
  • Manage projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Report operational efficiencies to the Director of Operations.
  • Provide leadership and feedback to team members.
  • Focus on the development of personnel within the team.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in setting and executing budgets.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Union experience.
  • Expertise in process improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong operations management skills.
  • Ability to supervise production activities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Safety management knowledge.

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in Fort Wayne, with occasional travel to Bedford, IN and KY, possibly twice a month. The work schedule is 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 4 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Roanoke, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
