MTSI is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and sustainment of advanced air dominance capabilities within a Family-of-Systems (FoS) framework. This role contributes to a high-priority U.S. Air Force acquisition program, providing critical systems engineering support across platform interfaces, mission threads, and cross-domain architecture. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems engineering experience, familiarity with digital engineering tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively across government and industry teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support for Family-of-Systems efforts.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of system architecture views, interface definitions, and integration strategies.
  • Support working groups, technical reviews, and engineering boards to evaluate and align system-level designs.
  • Coordinate across multiple program offices and industry partners to ensure interoperability and mission thread alignment.
  • Track and manage system requirements, configurations, and engineering baselines.
  • Contribute to modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) activities supporting performance assessments and trade studies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or integration support within DoD programs.
  • Strong understanding of systems-of-systems concepts, architecture frameworks, and interface control.
  • Experience supporting large-scale defense acquisition programs or platform integration.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Desired

  • Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Enterprise Architect) and DoDAF or UAF views.
  • Experience supporting advanced aircraft, weapons systems, or autonomy-enabling technologies.
  • Understanding of digital engineering principles and model-based requirements management.
  • Prior experience with AFLCMC or similar acquisition program offices.
