Inspector Packer - Elgin, IL

1st and 2nd Shift

$18/hr+

Job Description

This role involves working on the production floor, where you will be responsible for inspecting goods to ensure quality. You will check code dates on packages and verify they are in the correct format, as well as ensure packages pass through the metal detector properly. MUST HAVE GMP EXPERIENCE IN FOODS OR PHARMACEUTICALS!

Responsibilities

• Document inspection results in English.
• Support the ongoing maintenance, verification, and updates of the company’s food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance.
• Conduct daily inspections of production lines and review quality report forms to verify adherence to client specifications and food safety protocols.
• Monitor compliance with the allergen control program and ensure all quality and food safety standards are consistently met.
• Complete and verify daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation tasks and maintain up-to-date cleaning records.
• Perform allergen testing.

Essential Skills

• Quality inspection experience.
• Ability to document and communicate in English.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret details.
• Experience with GMP standards.
• 1+ years of GMP quality inspection experience.
• Ability to speak Spanish.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Foods quality inspection experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and reminiscent of a coffee and bakery shop. It is a GMP environment equipped with mostly gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment. The products packaged are primarily dry goods, such as powders. The facility is well-lit and spacious, with plans for expansion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
