Mixer/Operator
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm - $18/hr
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11pm - $19/hr
Job Summary
- Responsible for cutting and dumping raw materials into blending equipment per customer specifications.
- Packages and palletizes finished products for warehouse transfer.
- Keeps the work area organized and clean.
- Must complete our valued client’s comprehensive training program to be proficient.

Key Accountabilities
- Safe equipment operation.
- Batch set-up.
- Accurate micro ingredient scaling.
- Meeting production standards.
- Accurate production documentation.
- Ensuring production specifications are met with no holds.
Essential Functions
- Mixes raw materials to create finished product:
- Follows customer and company specifications and mixing instructions.
- Performs quality control checks on materials and equipment.
- Executes cut and dump procedures for batch production.
- Completes required production paperwork accurately.
- Packages finished products:
- Verifies labels match paperwork.
- Labels packaging materials correctly.
- Accurately fills packaging with finished product.
- Seals bags and palletizes for warehouse transfer.
- Maintains sanitation in work area:
- Disposes of used packaging materials properly.
- Sweeps and dusts to keep areas clear of spills.
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and organized workspace.
- Assists in training new personnel.
- Ensures daily adherence to food safety objectives and the SQF Code.
- Acts as an alternate for all Blender positions as required.
- Performs additional tasks as directed by supervisors for project completion or modification.

- Adherence to Quality Control holds
Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for inventory control.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no direct reports.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods; walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, stoop, and occasionally sit.
- Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally smell.
- Must lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally climb ladders to access equipment.
- Visual requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment.
- Work is in a climate-controlled production/warehouse environment.
- Frequent exposure to grain dust.
- Noise levels range from moderate to high; hearing protection required in some areas.
