Job Description
This is an entry-level position for the archeological section for the Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Historic Preservation Office. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing systematic investigations of possible archaeological sites, including excavation, field data collection, and data recording. Work also includes extensive use of GPS software to record spatial data. Employees in this position may work closely with Tribal community members to document sites and the history of the STOF reservation lands. The incumbent in this position performs work in the archeological laboratory such as cleaning, counting and cataloging artifacts and ecofacts. The incumbent is required to report to any one of the seven (7) reservations depending on daily scheduled project work.
