Job Description Summary
This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary substitute position. This recruitment will be open until the position is filled.
The expected appointment duration is during the Fall 2025 Semester.
This position will be assigned to the Paso Robles campus. This position is eligible for a 5% bilingual stipend in addition to the monthly salary.
DEFINITION
Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Continuing Education & Special Programs, provide specialized and technical assistance to students, staff, campus-wide departments/divisions, and the public. Provide other services of a San Luis Obispo Community College District instructional site including the day-to-day activities of the direct services at the designated instructional site.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
The Bilingual Continuing Education Student Support Assistant is distinguished from other classes of employment in that incumbents are expected to deliver information and services related to a wide spectrum of Noncredit Student Support services, Continuing Education, and Noncredit programs, with the ability to work under a minimum of supervision and to problem solve a wide array of circumstances. (Typically, an employee in this classification may serve at a satellite center or as an evening employee.)
Incumbents in this position support student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness by assisting students, faculty, and the public to ensure they receive accurate and informed assistance in an efficient and welcoming environment.
