Heads up! This is a hybrid role — you’ll join us in our Cluj-Napoca office 3 days a week — the rest is up to you.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure with a strong focus on back-end development and minimal front-end involvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and Release Management — to deliver impactful features
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and customers
• Stay curious and proactive — continuously explore new technologies, tools, and best practices to keep us ahead of the curve
• Develop in multiple languages, primarily PHP and Java, depending on project needs
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code that’s built to last
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies like sprint planning
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our codebase, engineering practices, tools, and team culture

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in software development, ideally on production systems used by real customers
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: PHP, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or C++
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and system design
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including managing large datasets
• Background in web development with a strong focus on back-end systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Experience with REST APIs and version control systems (preferably Git)
• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English
