Aerotek is seeking a Pipe Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as a Pipe Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling pipe joining systems, fittings, and valves. This role requires interpreting blueprints and assembling components according to job specifications, much like constructing intricate LEGO structures. Your tasks will include cutting and grooving pipes, logging data into the computer to track progress, and forming and pressing gaskets.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow blueprints to assemble pipe components and systems.
  • Cut and groove pipes as per specifications.
  • Log assembly data into the computer to update progress.
  • Form and press gaskets for pipe systems.
  • Use hand and power tools for mechanical assembly and inspection.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of assembly experience.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.
  • Mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with assembly of manufactured equipment, including valves.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with pipe joining, connectors, and related products.
  • High energy and motivation.
  • Experience with pipe grooving and cutting.

Work Environment

Work in a clean manufacturing environment with both assembly/fabrication and warehouse distribution areas. The facility is non-climate controlled but equipped with large fans. Join a small team of about 12 shop employees, including CNC machinists, QC Technicians, Manufacturing trainers, Assemblers, and Machine Operators. The role requires wearing steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, safety glasses, and a high-visibility vest. The position operates on the 1st shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work depending on project needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stafford, Texas. Pay is $21/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
