In the Dojo team we are a diverse team of international experts building a skill-based talent management and learning management system. Our mission is to empower the mobility of people at a societal level by guiding them to discover and attain new digital skills through clever use of data, design, and technology. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You shape the LX of our education and talent management platform, and work with subject matter experts, content developers, engineers, and designers to build effective, engaging, and relevant learning experiences for professionals across Toyota Group companies. You have experience implementing successful training programs. You will have the opportunity to directly deliver training programs and/or support asynchronous learners. You'll report to the Head of Content and Learning Design and work with other creative members of the content development team. We meet as a team in our Nihonbashi office up to 3 days per week in a hybrid workstyle, and report to the head of learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop online, asynchronous learning experiences aligned to skills-based outcomes
• Structure courses for adult learners using sound instructional design and learning science principles
• Create or guide the production of multimedia content (e.g., storyboards, scripts, graphics, simple animations or video editing)
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate learning experiences into our digital platform
• Use learner feedback and analytics to continuously improve course content and structure, supporting learners in asynchronous (and potentially synchronous) settings
• Support the development of assessments that measure real-world skill application

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience or equivalent in a technical or adjacent field (e.g., programming, data science, AI/ML)
• Strong understanding of the talent management cycle, including processes and programs in performance management, career development, succession planning, and education and training
• Japanese and English language business level proficiency is required (Native level Japanese preferred)

NICE TO HAVES

• Basic graphic design or video editing skills
• Teaching and facilitation experience
• Experience to create learning experiences that translate across Japanese and global contexts (particularly in automotive or manufacturing)
• Experience using learning analytics to improve course effectiveness
• Experience in a startup environment
• Understanding of the fields of SWD, ML, AI, and/or Data Science
• Comfort with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Strong grasp of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, backward design, SAM)
