PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Primarily responsible for housekeeping and various manual labor duties throughout the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.
- Ensure the warehouse dock and aisles are clean, safe, and an efficient work environment.
- Assist in loading of hand stacked containers.
- Assist forklift operators in double-stacking cargo on the warehouse floor.
- Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
- Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.
- Report damaged material found while performing duties and submit damaged report to Supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are at there proper cleaning station.
- Commit to OCS Blue & OSHEA Safety facility Standard.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
- Good math, language, and reading skills.
- Knowledge of proper PPE requirements
- Considerate and respectful to coworkers
- Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks.
- Preferred minimum 6-month FL experience.
- Attention to Detail.
- Works with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to be Flexible with the work schedule.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
- Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
- Occasional climbing of ladders
- Use of basic warehouse equipment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
