Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C/C++.
  • 2 years of experience in embedded systems software development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with network protocols, hardware schematics and datasheets, and collaboration with hardware engineers.
  • Experience developing and debugging Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocol stacks.
  • Experience with product manufacturing and low-power design.
  • Experience with driver or kernel-level development and developing on RTOS.
  • Ability to work in a fluid, collaborative environment, along with excellent communication skills, for mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth software solutions for Google smart home devices, influencing product and technical choices.
  • Develop Wi-Fi and Bluetooth software, including drivers, firmware, and application layers, ensuring exceptional connection stability and low latency.
  • Lead cross-platform software development for Android, Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), and other embedded systems, ensuring compatibility with various smartphone platforms.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to performance, connectivity, and system anomalies, especially in coexisting wireless environments.
  • Utilize advanced debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and resolve embedded software issues, providing technical guidance.
