Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 8 years of experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.
  • 5 years of experience of people management in a leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in Movies/TV Industry.
  • 5 years of experience in managing organizational changes (e.g., innovation/AI/tools adoption).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience managing programs and driving significant operational improvements.
  • Experience establishing a culture of continuous improvement benchmarked against industry best practices.
  • Excellent thinking and discussion skills, with the ability to present compelling narratives to executive audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) to inform decision-making.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

In this role, you will provide critical program management leadership and the operational backbone to three core partner-facing and content operations teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Program Managers, establishing a culture of accountability and direct, professional communication while leading talent development and managing team bandwidth.
  • Define and manage the team's program portfolio, ensuring alignment with leadership and prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Establish a governance structure that drives effective decision-making, mitigates cross-functional dependencies, and serves as a critical escalation point to unblock complex programs.
  • Lead foundational initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness by implementing new systems for measuring Return on Investment (ROI), streamlining processes, or deploying new operational tools.
  • Act as a key thought-partner to leadership, identifying and driving organizational change by translating long-term strategy into actionable frameworks and influencing key decisions.
