The NBA’s Direct to Consumer Products, Technology & Operations (DTC PTO) team’s mission is to bring the world courtside by providing the NBA experience for everyone, everywhere. The group creates and manages digital products that extend the league’s global reach from mobile applications to virtual reality experiences. We deliver live games, exclusive content, and experiences to fans across different devices through NBA League Pass, the league’s premium subscription offering, and NBA ID, the league’s membership program. The DTC PTO’s Business Initiatives team is responsible for developing and implementing strategies with a cross-functional team of digital business leaders to help accomplish key business objectives and metrics.
Position Summary:
The NBA is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of the NBA’s Next Gen media services platform, the core engine behind our global direct-to-consumer media streaming experience. This senior-level role is ideal for a seasoned project management leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and brings a deep understanding of agile delivery within complex technical ecosystems.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to engineering, product, and operations leadership—owning delivery of the media streaming roadmap across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms. The Senior Technical Project Manager will play a critical role in delivering quality and reliability of the live content and game playback flows. The Senior Technical Project Manager will drive project management and day-to-day coordination, growth of Agile best practices, as well as management of high-impact vendor relationships. The Senior Technical Project Manager oversees platform-level initiatives that directly shape how over +10 million fans engage with NBA content worldwide.
