Come join the King County Metro Transit team as a IT Project Manager I. This position will serve as a Project Manager in support of the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) project. The Enterprise Asset Management System project is a multiyear project managed with the Finance and Administration division of King County Metro to consolidate and modernize asset management systems. This position will report to and work closely with the EAMS lead project manager to successfully deliver on the project goals. Areas of focus will include management of backlog as well as tracking of risks, action items and decisions; active management of Azure DevOps for the project; management of the decommissioning process for retired systems and other project management tasks as assigned.

Metro's Finance and Administration Transit Technology Project Management Team
The Transit Technology Project Management unit is part of the Metro Technology Office within the Finance and Administration division section. The team provides project management from initiation through planning, procurement, development, and integration, testing and implementation to steady state and transfer to operational teams. Each IT PM manages or supports one or more concurrent Metro IT projects through the full project management life-cycle, ensuring project completion within authorized scope, schedule and budget.
The team's project portfolio includes a wide-ranging and challenging variety of capital projects for transit applications and systems including real time customer information, electronic fare collection and mobile ticketing, on-board systems, scheduling and route planning, vehicle dispatch and telematics, asset management, wireless network communications, transit signal priority, enterprise architecture, business intelligence, capital project management and reporting, zero emissions technology, as well as other system enhancements and life cycle management.
Position Type
This recruitment will be used to fill one Term Limited Temporary/Special Duty Assignment IT Project Manager I Classification vacancy. The TLT/SDA is anticipated to last 2 years and may be extended. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future Term Limited Temporary/Special Duty Assignment vacancies that may occur in this classification within this workgroup. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority

Work Location: This is a hybrid position. The main work site for this position is King Street Center, 201 S Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104.
The work associated with this position is currently performed or conducted through a combination of teleworking, onsite work, and meetings. The role combines remote work from home with onsite reporting typically once per week. Reporting frequency may vary based on business needs.
Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Work Schedule: The position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible. The typical workweek is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
