BAPTIST HEALTH SOUTH FLORIDA INC. in Miami, FL seeks a Software Engineer- Lead to draw on experience to lead technical designs and implementation of highly scalable and adaptable Client and Server/ Serverless applications. Write and review code utilizing expert-level skills in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and system level programming. Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames). Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply same to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Bring leading Industry techniques and technologies to the table, perform proof of concepts and pilots to ensure the new addition best fit for our current and future technology roadmap. Mentor and develop junior engineers through sharing and learning. Use past experience with Agile software development to improve team execution. Practice resilience engineering for every component you build and promote resilience within the team. Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation. Communicate with users, other development teams, business, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, review technical designs, and support production systems as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (U.S. or foreign equiv.). 10 years of experience in same or related occupation. The 10 years of experience must include the following (a) 7 years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java/C++/C# including object-oriented design or any js technologies like Nodejs, Reactjs, etc.; (b) 5 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems; (c) 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, MS Azure or similar cloud computing platforms; (d) 2 years of experience working in DevOps or on open-source projects; (e) 2 years of experience demonstrating problem solving and debugging skills including effective leadership and collaboration in creating technical partnerships across teams.
