Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to join the Corporate Treasury’s Recovery and Resolution Financial Analytics (“RRFA”) team, which is responsible for delivering the financial analyses for the Firm’s Recovery and Resolution plans.

As a Vice President, adaptability is crucial, as it involves the ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and tight deadlines. Problem-solving skills are essential for identifying challenges and helping the team develop solutions for technology and production-based issues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to convey complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Initiative is important for taking a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving positive change within the team. Attention to detail is vital, as it involves being meticulous and careful in reviewing information, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and maintaining high standards of quality when submitting work. Technical proficiency, including familiarity with financial statements and data analysis tools such as Excel and Python, supports reporting and analysis.

Job responsibilities:

  • Drive the project management of the Recovery and Resolution Financial Analytics (RRFA) deliverables, confidently navigating a cross-functional, matrixed, and fast-paced environment.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory submissions and documentation related to capital and liquidity requirements, including the generation of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Define and manage timelines of deliverables and perform critical path analysis to ensure management keeps informed of impacts to project schedule.
  • Analyze performance against the project plan and make adjustments consistent with objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with both the RRFA Capital and RRFA Liquidity teams to align on goals and requirements and to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Organize and lead weekly discussions with LOBs and functional team stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication, coordinating with LOB Program Managers on deliverables and timelines, and tracking overall timeliness.
  • Identify risks, flag issues, escalate delays related to systems, processes, or internal/external stakeholders (including legal entity controllers, treasury, tax, IT, etc.) to minimize adverse impacts. Establish contingency plans as required.
  • Establish and/or maintain governance processes for SME reviews and attestation processes, including efficient issue tracking and resolution.
  • Develop an understanding of capital and liquidity processes to ensure effectiveness of controls and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where applicable.
  • Assist in key business governance activities for RRFA, including managing policies/standards/procedures and business resiliency plans.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 5-7 years of experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated expertise in delivering large programs within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects and to multi-task across varying priorities.
  • Competency in the overall project management process including planning tasks, allocating resources, risk mitigation, issues management, change management, working in teams, status monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating across cross-functional groups.
  • Ability to think creatively with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Drive and adherence to deadlines, with the ability to deliver in a timely manner.
  • Bachelors' degree is required.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with development of a recovery or resolution plan or another similar regulatory initiative is a plus.
