Key job responsibilities

• Architect and develop innovative serverless solutions that scale globally, leveraging AWS technologies to protect Amazon's operations and assets worldwide.
• Drive the design and implementation of secure, high-performance microservices that enhance Amazon's security infrastructure while maintaining exceptional user experience.
• Collaborate with UX teams to create intuitive interfaces that simplify complex security workflows for thousands of Amazon employees and stakeholders globally.
• Lead technical initiatives through their entire lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Partner cross-functionally with teams worldwide to integrate security solutions that protect Amazon's diverse operational landscape while fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Champion best practices in cloud-native development, implementing robust security measures and ensuring compliance with international data privacy regulations.
• Mentor team members and conduct thorough code reviews, contributing to a learning-oriented environment where innovation and growth are celebrated.
• Design and implement automated testing strategies and monitoring solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of security applications at scale.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, demonstrating ownership and commitment to maintaining critical security services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building services using AWS products
• Knowledge of a front-end language (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
