Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Manager who will be responsible for executing marketing campaigns using our digital marketing platforms, such as Marketo, Knak, and ON24.

This role requires a technically savvy marketing automation professional who will collaborate with teammates in the U.S. and Europe. Collaborators include, but are not limited to, Europe Marketing Operations and Communications, Europe Regional Marketing, Digital Marketing Channel Experts, IT, Brand and Creative, and Customer Support teams.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Automation Manager in the U.S. and aligned with the Global Campaign Operations team, with an indirect reporting relationship to the Director of Marketing Operations and Communications in Europe, the incumbent will spend much of their time supporting customer communications, events, audience, and campaign development by leveraging Marketo and other marketing technologies. This role may include designing behavior-based trigger workflows to support event attendance management, managing email requests and building them in Knak, and performing quality assurance reviews to ensure alignment with email best practices, brand standards, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Marketing Automation Manager will also ensure data is properly synced to Salesforce for accurate analytics and performance tracking.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Building Email Communications and Landing Pages
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to deliver high-quality email communications that align with campaign goals. Proactively identify gaps and recommend solutions to improve performance
    • Develop and maintain functional email templates optimized for responsive, mobile-friendly, and dark mode-friendly email experiences, while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Optimizing Emails and Conducting Quality Assurance
    • Implement A/B testing to optimize email engagement and performance
    • Conduct quality assurance and testing for emails to ensure proper rendering across devices and email clients, maintain brand consistency, and minimize spam scores by adhering to deliverability best practices
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with ESP service representatives and internal stakeholders related to tracking, implementation, and deployment of campaigns
  • Developing Marketo Programs and Smart Campaigns
    • Collaborate with Europe Marketing Operations, Communications and Europe country marketing teams to develop and execute automation strategies across customer journeys, contact management, segmentation, and success measurement
    • Build and manage workflows in Marketo for key initiatives such as trade shows and webinars—including email invitations, reminders, landing pages, and forms
    • Leverage data and insights to continuously optimize automation processes, improve audience targeting, and recommend enhancements to existing workflows
    • Establish scalable business processes and governance standards for managing Marketo, including folder structures and support for a regionalized model
    • Ensure all marketing processes comply with local legal and regulatory requirements by partnering closely with regulatory and data privacy teams
    • Provide strategic guidance on content, behavioral triggers, lead scoring, segmentation, and performance reporting to ensure effective campaign execution
    • Measure and report on marketing program performance using both qualitative and quantitative data
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Web, Creative, Social, and Publishing teams to align on data quality, content delivery, and performance tracking across channels
