Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis!
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting & performing various aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis including (but not limited to) Budgeting, Forecasting and Management Reporting for the client organization
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Customer Experience
- Manage and develop the aligned FP&A team, ensuring all critical performance indicators (CPI/KPIs) are consistently met.
- Drive optimal customer experience for both internal stakeholders and aligned team members through effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.
- People management, growth, career development, roadmap creation and execution, as applicable
- Strategic Financial Analysis & Decision Support
- Oversee the collection, verification, and analysis of financial and economic data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Deliver actionable financial insights to senior management for evaluating strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital investments.
- Assess the financial impact of business decisions, aligning recommendations with organizational goals.
- Forecasting & Competitive Positioning
- Analyze industry and economic trends to inform accurate forecasting and support strategic positioning.
- Develop and communicate insights on short, medium, and long-term financial outlooks to aid business planning.
- Operational & Financial Insight
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key metrics including revenue, costs, cash flow, pricing, labor trends, and inflation.
- Lead or contribute to budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting activities.
- Broader Business Understanding
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of how FP&A activities align with departmental, segment, and enterprise-wide strategies.
- Recognize and manage interdependence across related functions and teams within the organization.
- Decision-Making & Autonomy
- Make informed decisions on work methods and approaches, especially when faced with ambiguous or complex situations.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, consulting leadership only when necessary.
- Adherence to Policy with Independent Judgment
- Follow established policies and procedures, applying discretion and sound judgment to ensure effective execution and compliance.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance & accounting/ MBAs/ CA
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Team management experience required
- Intermediate or advanced level user with a relational database (Access, Oracle or other)
- Intermediate or advanced level user with MS Office suite with special emphasis on Microsoft Excel & Power Points
- Proficient in manipulating financial data for analysis and reporting
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Experience with SAS/ SQL preferred
- Previous health insurance industry experience preferred
- Exposure to Power BI as dashboarding & reporting tool
- Domain Knowledge
- Understands relevant financial standards, regulations and company specific procedures
- Exposure to health insurance industry and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) as a domain, is a plus
- Autonomy & Decision-Making
- Makes decisions about how to approach tasks within a specific area independently; guided by precedent and documented procedures, with some room for interpretation.
- Work Environment
- Operate within a structured framework but is you are expected to be proactive and analytically independent in your own area of responsibility
