Project Manager/Product Owner – Insurance & Claims Workflow

MSC

Within the IT department and following its governance and methodology

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of a SaaS-based insurance and claims management solution currently in active rollout. This external solution integrates with SAP, MDM, and TMS. Its capabilities are driven by HQ and it is used globally.

This role bridges business needs and execution, managing requirements and validation in a complex environment with multiple external partners.

What you’ll be doing:

Stakeholder Management: You are the key point of contact for the project, both internally and with external partners. You can adapt to your stakeholders’ needs. You ensure alignment with expectations. You lead the monthly Steering Committee.

Requirements Management: Build, document, and validate functional specifications. You’ll do a lot of hands-on, functional coordination.

Project Planning & Delivery: Own the project roadmap. Manage risks. Propose and implement solutions to ensure milestones are met.

Testing & Validation: Ensure deliverables match business expectations. Coordinate and validate testing before go-live.

Migration and Transition: V1 is in progress, with a migration and decommissioning cycle expected. You will lead and coordinate this phase.

Vendor Coordination: Act as the main interface with the software vendor.

What you won’t be doing:

  • Running sprint planning or Agile ceremonies – this project is not managed in a traditional Agile model.
  • Managing an internal development team – this is a vendor-driven project. Your focus is on ensuring business needs are captured and correctly implemented.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Functional Project Lead in complex legal/accounting or insurance workflow projects
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments while maintaining structure and clear documentation
  • Comfortable negotiating with vendors and pushing back when needed
  • Knowledge of the maritime transport and shipping industry is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus
