By joining our team, you will participate in development of a Pega Customer Decision Hub platform, which was named in 2024 the best Real Time Interaction Management software in the world. It leverages big data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) to allow companies to anticipate customer needs, predict their behavior and, ultimately, improve their engagement.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Lead the design and development of advanced machine learning capabilities across our real-time decisioning platform.
• Translate abstract business problems into scalable, production-grade ML solutions
• Research, prototype, and fine-tune algorithms (e.g., XGBoost, Embeddings) for high-throughput environments, ensuring they meet performance, fairness, and reliability standards.
• Architect and maintain machine learning pipelines that integrate seamlessly with Pega decisioning and CDH products on Cloud
• Guide and mentor engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Partner with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to shape roadmap priorities and deliver proof-of-concepts aligned with business goals.
• Ensure responsible AI practices are embedded into model development, validation, and deployment processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of your models in live customer environments, iterating based on feedback and performance data.
• Drive innovation by staying informed on research and industry trends, identifying opportunities to evolve our ML capabilities.

Who You Are:

• You bring deep expertise in machine learning, including the ability to design, build, and optimize algorithms (not just apply them)—with particular strength in techniques like XGBoost, embeddings, and streaming algorithms.
• Are fluent in Python and Java, and demonstrate software engineering excellence through clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Possess strong architectural thinking and experience in designing ML pipelines that operate at scale and integrate into cloud-based, real-time decisioning systems.
• Are outcome-driven and business-aware—able to connect ML model design to measurable impact in customer experience and engagement.
• Operate comfortably across ambiguous or abstract problem spaces, and can independently drive the end-to-end development of novel solutions.
• Take pride in mentoring and elevating others—helping data scientists and engineers grow through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring transparency, fairness, and performance are embedded in how models are developed and deployed.
• Actively collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to shape strategy and influence technical direction.
• Stay current with academic research and industry trends and are skilled at bringing those insights into practical implementation.
• Communicate with clarity, influence across disciplines, and lead by example through hands-on contributions and thought leadership.

What You've Accomplished:
