POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief of Security, is required to use Situational awareness and de-escalation techniques to calm patients/visitors, and remove subjects when deemed necessary. The Chief of Security must remain professional at all times when dealing with the public, patients and coworkers and must maintain patient privacy in all situations. The Chief of Security, is responsible for overseeing of all the security officers; ProFormance, Kronos time management, scheduling, etc. The Chief of Security is responsible for reviewing of incidents, reviewing of video, the download of video and detailed reports of reviewed incidents when necessary. The Chief of Security is also responsible for any duties outlined by policies of Eamc-Lanier Hospital.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience
2 years experience in Managing and Supervising personnel, budgets, and functions.
Experience in dealing with customer service issues, problem solving, decision making, and policy writing and implementation
Required Registration/License/Certification
BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
Valid Drivers License
Preferred Education
Associate or B.S. in Management, Human reources, and/or Health Adminstration/Public Administration
Preferred Experience
3- 5 years with an emphasis in Health Care Support Services, Patient Transportation, Security, and Safety
