JOB TITLE: Pricing Optimisation Manager (12 Month FTC/Secondment)

SALARY: The salary banding for outside London is £59,850 - £66,500 for London it’s £70,929 - £78,810

LOCATION: Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds or London

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

The Homes Pricing & Forecasting team plays a pivotal role in supporting our customers with their mortgage needs and managing the UK's largest mortgage portfolio.

We’re looking for a Pricing Optimisation Manager for an initial 12 Month period to help shape the future of mortgage pricing by building tools and optimisation capabilities that drive data-led decisions and deliver value. This role is ideal for someone passionate about combining technical expertise with structured change delivery, commercial insight, and customer engagement.

What will I be doing?

  • Tool & Capability Development: Design and build pricing tools and optimisation frameworks that improve decision-making and operational efficiency. Leverage technologies such as Python, Copilot, and AI to automate processes and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Change Delivery & Roadmapping: Lead the end-to-end delivery of change initiatives using agile methodologies. Define clear roadmaps, set landmarks, and manage delivery plans to ensure timely and effective implementation of pricing capabilities.
  • Commercial Modelling & Insight: Develop and maintain robust commercial models to evaluate pricing strategies and forecast outcomes. A strong understanding of commercial drivers and how they influence profitability is essential.
  • User-Centred Design: Collaborate with team members to develop intuitive user interfaces that make complex pricing logic accessible and actionable.
  • Data-Driven Optimisation: Use advanced analytics and segmentation to identify pricing opportunities, test innovative approaches, and iterate based on insights.
  • Collaborator Engagement: Work closely with colleagues across Homes, Risk, Finance, and Compliance to ensure alignment and consensus. Present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Foster a collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and shared success. Influence strategic direction through evidence-based recommendations.

What you’ll need

  • Proficiency in Python and data analytics
  • A passion for building tools and systems that solve real-world problems
  • Proven experience in managing change through structured delivery frameworks
  • Strong grasp of commercial modelling and financial levers
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, LLMs)
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
  • Agile delivery and project management
  • Roadmap and achievement planning

Nice to have skills

  • Curiosity about market dynamics and customer behaviour.
  • Understanding of the UK mortgage market is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into commercial outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
