The Student Academic Center offers a variety of courses designed to promote students' academic success at the university. All carry credit from the School of Education that can be applied as electives in most degree programs.

Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Assists graduate AI in teaching Educ-X158 by helping to design lesson plans.
  • Leads classroom activities.
  • Holds individual student conferences, and assist with grading.
  • Acts as role models for students in the academic recovery process.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
  • Successfully completed Educ-X158 and Educ-L490
  • They must be in academic Good Standing

SKILLS

Required

  • Proficient communication skills

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
