Job Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Direct Mail Programmer to join their team. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying personalized direct mail campaigns using variable data printing (VDP) technologies. You will have experience with data processing, scripting, and print production workflows and will collaborate closely with account managers and production teams to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and maintain C# and .NET scripts, leveraging BCC tools and internal applications to meet client-specific requirements.
- Analyze client specifications provided by Account Management to determine required data processes, validate data accuracy, and ensure alignment with project deadlines—escalating concerns as needed.
- Prepare data for postal presorting and generate all necessary mailing documentation, including Mail.dat files and related reports.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of all developed scripts and programs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in client meetings and conference calls, serving as the technical liaison between clients, Account Management, and Document Creation teams. Communicate technical concepts and project requirements clearly and professionally.
- Perform thorough quality control (QC) checks at each stage of development to ensure data integrity and output accuracy.
- Support additional tasks and projects assigned by the IT Manager.
- Adhere strictly to all Security Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Employee Security Handbook.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technically related field or training.
- Min 3+ years of proven development experience, preferably in a marketing business
- Experience with Visual Studio, C#, .NET, MS SQL Server.
- Comfortable with source version control software (Git, SVN, Azure).
- Working knowledge of various file formats/types (CSV, ASCII text, .DBF, .XML, etc.).
- Experience with one or more of the following postal software: BCC, Satori, First Logic.
- A working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Familiar with Entity Framework, IIS, HTML/CSS, ASP.NET, Crystal Reports, SSRS/SSIS is a plus.

- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach above the shoulders.
- Vision abilities are required by this job and will include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while using the computer monitor.
Working Conditions:
- The work environment is an office and manufacturing environment with a moderate noise level.
- Flexible hybrid schedule based on the department's rotating schedule.
- The position is eligible for a remote role, subject to approval based on the city and state of the employee’s residence.
