We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Development Engineer with a strong background in electronics, PCB design, and semiconductor reliability testing. You will play a key role in the development of stress test hardware and software solutions tailored to support product applications and evolving technology roadmaps. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally and ensure timely project execution and high-quality deliverables.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

  • Develop and design stress/substrate/driver/adaptor boards, stencils, and related hardware and software solutions based on product requirements and various stress systems.
  • Design and adapt boards according to new requirements derived from technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure alignment with design standards and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform complex stress test setups as required by application.
  • Verify and buy off hardware/software solutions, ensuring timely release.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of buy-off procedures.
  • Actively participate in multiple ongoing projects as a work package member.
  • Collaborate with product development and application engineering teams across international sites.
  • Work closely with external partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Track workflow, monitor quality and delivery timelines, and ensure successful release of hardware.
  • Interface with existing suppliers and manage procurement processes for new board designs.
  • Support and lead problem-solving efforts (e.g., 8D methodology).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for new hardware, software, and processes (e.g., work instructions, specifications, OJT instructions).
  • Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities and lessons learned.
  • Deliver know-how and technical guidance to sustaining engineering teams.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor reliability testing and board design preferred.
  • Proficient in board design using Eagle and/or Altium PCB design software.
  • Experience in designing reliability test boards for high-power or high-frequency applications.
  • Familiar with reliability test methodologies, bias conditions, and reference standards.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems (e.g., Arduino) and programming languages such as C# and C++.
  • Understanding of electronic interfaces such as SPI, JTAG, I2C, SWI.
  • Strong schematic design skills and hands-on troubleshooting of electronic circuitry.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as IPC-7351, IPC-9701, IPC-A-600F, IPC J-STD-001ES & JEDEC standards
