Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with Android application development.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience in mobile apps, client architecture, or tools in the mobile space.
  • Passionate for crafting foundational code for broad usage across feature teams using modern frameworks (Jetpack Compose, etc.)

Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Write mobile applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
  • Craft elegant and functional user interfaces using modern frameworks.
  • Develop foundational technologies for use across feature teams within the broader application.
  • Drive designs for major mobile components and features. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance mobile software solutions.
  • Ensure a high level of quality implementing unit and integration tests as well as other mobile software architecture best practices.
