We are looking for an experienced program manager to support Apple’s Trust & Safety efforts by delivering high-quality, trustworthy user experiences across our ecosystem. This role is central to protecting our users and ensuring their safety across Apple’s platforms. The Trust and Safety team plays a pivotal role in meeting this goal by collaborating with product and other cross-functional teams to ensure our customers enjoy the safest, most trusted products and services. The Trust and Safety team spans strategy, policy, online safety analysis, engineering, operations, and research, while supporting all parts of the Apple ecosystem. We are seeking a Program Manager who is skilled at translating strategy into action and building collaborative systems that support safety outcomes; with an express focus on developing and implementing team systems of portfolio management and supporting interpersonal and child safety areas of need. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of trust and safety issues, exceptional program management skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Description

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful execution of key initiatives prioritized for the Trust & Safety team while also development and management the overall team management system for the Program office and support of intake and evaluation for interpersonal and child safety. Key responsibilities include: Program Execution: Manage multiple concurrent workstreams related to process development, workforce planning and health, and project execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally across Apple to leverage collective skills and intelligence including Threat Analysts, Risk Evaluations, Complexity reduction and delivery: Clarify goals, align cross-functional stakeholders, and simplify systems to support efficient execution. Technical Understanding: Develop in-depth understanding of Apple's program management systems and tools, to complement your understanding of key components for efficient procedure and governance. Team Systems& Strategy: Co-develop portfolio management processes and scalable systems to support the team’s strategic vision. Issue Resolution: Resolve discrepancies, troubleshoot, and unblock issues. Communication & Collaboration: Connect with all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives. Legal & Compliance: Collaborate closely with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to design and implement solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program management experience with consumer-facing online safety efforts, with a strong preference for trust and safety experience in user reporting features and functionalities.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools with a demonstrated track record of running complex, cross-functional projects, in fast paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of big data and machine learning systems, tools, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Flexible working style with the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly.
  • Trust and Safety experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to bring structure to evolving or complex work streams with an excitement to join a new team and support the development of governance procedures and protocols in partnership with others.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
