Machine Operator

Pay: $23-24/Hour

Location: Auburn, WA

Shift: Day, Swing and Weekend

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator and play a vital role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of our metal fabrication processes. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery in a dynamic and fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws for cutting steel and other materials.
• Utilize sit-down forklifts for material handling and transportation.
• Read and interpret tape measures for accurate measurements.
• Conduct visual quality control to ensure product standards are met.
• Apply metal to customer orders and process materials according to specifications.
• Maintain processing equipment and ensure it remains in safe and clean condition.
• Keep the processing area tidy, safe, and organized.
• Accurately complete all required information entry.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience using a band saw.
• Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Attention to detail and strong paperwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication and aerospace industry.
• Strong attendance record and work history regarding tenure.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. It is a fast-paced setting with over 60 employees on the floor. The facility is located in Auburn, WA

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
