Salary Range: $40,000- $42,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week.
Level I: non-exempt.
Level II and III: exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Assists, facilitates and executes day-to-day operations and carries out programming including recruitment, selection, mentoring and logistical support for students in Honors College Special Programs including Terry Scholars, Top Scholars, Citymester, Archer Fellowship, Legislative Scholars, Texas Leadership Scholars and others. Responsible for understanding and interpreting the needs of students.
Level I: Assist in the coordination of services and programs that create an environment in which the student is offered individual attention.
Level II: Assist in and plan the development of services that create an environment in which the student is offered individual attention.
Level III: Plan the development of services that create an environment in which the student is offered individual attention.
Core Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates aspects of student programs and related events for Honors College Special Programs including Terry Scholars, Top Scholars, Texas Leadership Scholars, Citymester, Archer Fellowship, Legislative Scholars, and others.
- Support students as they articulate their interests and ambitions that further their academic, personal and professional goals.
- Facilitates selection processes for Honors College Special Programs.
- Maintains program procedural statements and organizational documents.
- Reports student success results.
- Works with student program participants to ensure financial aid, scholarships and registration for various program is timely and accurate.
- Maintains student records and documentation.
- Develops and manages the production of relevant program materials ensuring quality and timelines are maintained.
- Stays current with program and student development literature for best practices.
- Consults with Honors College leadership to establish priorities, standards and program evaluation processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Level I
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Equivalent experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.
Level II
- Bachelor's degree with a major in a field related to the work to be performed.
- Two years of experience working with student groups in the community or equivalent advisory and administrative experience in the field of education.

Level III
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in a field related to the work to be performed.
- Two years of experience working with student groups in the community or equivalent advisory and administrative experience in the field of education.

Preferred Qualifications
Level I/II
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Level I/II/III
- One to three years of professional experience working in college student success.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy and technical skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Highly collaborative.
- Keen attention to detail and follow-through.
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive self to events within Bexar County (mileage provided).
Preferred
- Experience with Banner and Inspire or other student information systems, Salesforce or comparable CRM.
- Experience with scholarship and admissions application systems.
- Willingness to become certified to drive a rental van with students.
- Ability to independently secure rental and hotel reservations (per diem provided).

Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
- Evenings and weekend work or overtime, particularly during major program events. Flex and comp time provided.
- Majority of time spent in contact with students.
- Primary in-office position with limited virtual work.
- May participate in meetings and conferences, concerning student or professional affairs, beyond the usual office hours.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
