Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift
Shift/Hours: 2:00PM – 10:00PM
Starting Pay Rate: $20.00/Hr.
As a Forklift Operator at Pratt Industries – Cedar Hill, you will play an essential role in maintaining the flow of materials by moving various sized units and products to the correct staging areas. You will also maintain accurate records of inventory locations, perform basic equipment maintenance, assist with general operations, and ensure housekeeping duties are completed. You will work in an environment where safety is a top priority and will have opportunities to grow in a supportive team-oriented atmosphere.

Key Duties and Success Factors:
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety and operational guidelines to ensure a safe working environment as well as becoming Pratt Forklift Certified.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that materials and equipment are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Operational Efficiency: Support general operations by performing duties efficiently and accurately.
- Training & Development: Participate in training programs to stay up to date with company procedures and safety protocols.
- Reporting & Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and ensure necessary equipment maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
- Flexibility & Teamwork: Support coworkers in various tasks and be available to work weekend shifts when needed.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Candidates with previous experience in the corrugating industry, forklift operation, or working with warehouse management systems are preferred.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Ability to identify maintenance needs and take appropriate action.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift materials. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
- Certifications: Lift Truck Operator License (must be maintained).
