As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support the firm's business goals across various business functions.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Experience in building applications on OLAP cube technology like IBM TM1/Planning Analytics, or any other similar cubing platform for large corporations
  • Extensive hands-on experience on cube platform components (web and excel ) for designing reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in development of complex rules and workflows in cubes including scripting knowledge UNIX Shell or similar.
  • Experience in automated data sourcing from relational databases , cloud data lakes (S3, Databricks, Snowflake etc. )
  • Knowledge of one or more programming language(s) like Python or Unix shell scripting or other language
  • Experience in documenting functional and technical design.
  • Good knowledge of Finance modules like General Ledger, Planning & Analysis (P&A) and regulatory reporting
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Experience developing hybrid business solutions that are flexible, scalable and leverage wide range of technologies. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS)
