Job Summary: The Director of Operations Standards will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining brand standards across all restaurant locations to ensure consistent, high-quality customer experience and operational excellence. This role involves developing comprehensive audit programs, monitoring compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, food safety, and overall brand integrity. oversee the restaurant evaluation program, brand standards, and operations execution. Job Description:

  • (50%) Brand Standards Governance
    • Serve as subject matter expert on brand standards and operations
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of brand standard guidelines, including visual and verbal elements
    • Lead the brand standards governance process for all restaurants
    • Collaborate with franchisees, restaurant teams, and internal cross-functional teams to maintain standards across all categories
    • Conducts restaurant visits regularly to ensure sites are operating at Brand Standards and to partner with restaurant teams to identify Brand Standard opportunities
    • Conduct thorough assessments of food preparation, cooking procedures, dining area conditions, cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience
    • Train and coach direct reports, internal field partners, ops leaders, and influential franchisees on best practices for upholding brand standards, food safety, and operational excellence
    • Monitor industry trends and regulations to ensure brand standards remain current and compliant
    • Foster strong relationships with influential franchisees, acting as a key liaison between Operations leadership and field operations teams.
  • (50%) Restaurant Evaluation Program
    • Oversee the restaurant evaluation program and performance for all restaurants - responsibilities include developing and implementing the evaluation framework, managing and mentoring the specialist team, overseeing evaluation execution and reporting, assessing internal controls, and staying updated on industry trends and regulations
    • Design and execute robust audit programs to ensure compliance with food safety, health, sanitation, and brand standards to drive guest outcomes
    • Propose and implement programmatic changes that improve operational metrics to senior leadership, influential franchisees, and field leaders
    • Manage national team of specialist responsible for execution of the restaurant evaluation program
    • Train and coach specialists on best practices to consistently uphold restaurant evaluation program execution and performance standards
    • Analyze audit data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions
    • Manage the restaurant evaluation program budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve brand goals, and presenting updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations with P&L ownership and responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working with franchisee portfolios and liaising with field operations on behalf of a brand.
  • Expertise in developing and designing training content, operations manuals, and instructor-led materials for the restaurant industry.
  • Strong background in managing restaurant evaluation programs and operational compliance.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and franchisees.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across Marketing, Operations, Technology, Development, Digital, and Field Support.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
